Science Benchmark Review Game
Who Wants to be a millionaire
Each student will have a dry erase board and marker.
They will answer each question. In order to earn a ticket they must prove or tell why they choice the answer that they did.

Reading Benchmark
Student’s will take the Reading Benchmark. It is important that student’s use their strategies and make notes as they read the passages. Student’s will need to take their time and show what they know and still need help on. We are gearing up for TAKS.

Science Benchmark - End of the Year
Student’s will show their Knowledge of what they have learned this year in science. Our goal is to see how much they have improved and what concepts they still need help with.
Student’s will show their strategies using CUPID
C - circle the important words
U- Underline the question.

Make sure to answer the question being asked and not just a fact.

P- Prove your answer.

Draw and label the picture
Write notes
Define vocabulary
Eliminate wrong answers

I - Identify the correct answer choice
D - Double check

2nd 9 weeks starts Monday!
We will begin our Earth Science Unit today!
Report Cards go home on Friday! Please have your child bring back the envelope signed Monday!

Hi everyone! Hopefully you have had a chance to watch the Steve Spangler on Ellen Video on the Welcome post. After you make the oobleck watch it again. Amazing!
Please have your parents permission before doing the experiment! Please read all materials and directions before attempting the experiment.
Materials:

1 cup of cornstarch
Bowl
About a 1/2 cup of water
Spoon or craft stick
Paper plate *optional Pie plate
Old Newpaper
Piece of paper
Pencil or pen
Paper towel
