TEK Objective: 4.6A

The Students Will: Differentiate between rotate and revolve by identifying patterns of change in objects in the sky.

Introduce: Revolution (Revolve)

Musical Intelligence:

              Sing Rotation: (To the tune of If You’re Happy and You Know It)

              Sing Happy Revolution: (To the tune of – Happy Birthday)

Kinesthetic Intelligence: Studnets physically model revolution and Rotation in partners.

Review: Solar System

Outside Activity: Using an inflatable solar system students will demonstrate their planets revolution around the sun. Students will race to put their teams solar system in order and correctly name the planets starting from the sun.

Isolate the relationship between the Sun, Earth, and the moon.

Students will show how each rotate and revolve.
