Layers of Earth Model
Students will use notes to make a basic composition of the Earth’s layers.
Vocabulary: Outer Core and Inner Core
Example: Distance of each Earth layer
Crust: 6 to 80 miles
Mantle: 1,800 miles
Outer Core: 1,375 miles
Inner Core: 1,750 miles
Using construction paper of different colors. Make a model of the Earth’s layers. Writing facts about each layer taken from the Magic School Bus: Inside the Earth book, and notes taken during class.
